Community Threads: The Booj | An Ottawa Clothing Brand Spotlight

Community Threads: The Booj | An Ottawa Clothing Brand Spotlight

Community Threads

As one of Ottawa’s original small batch apparel brands, we’ve met a lot of great people through our many adventures as a clothing company. Community Threads is our way of sharing those stories by focusing on the people we’ve met and the connections we’ve made along the way.

We could easily drop a new video about our latest t-shirt, hoodie, or skateboard design, but we’d rather document the stories behind the people who helped get us here. Ottawa has no shortage of amazing individuals, but those stories don’t always get the spotlight they deserve.

Meet The Booj

In our first episode, we’d like to introduce you to The Booj. If you’ve spent any time around Urban Art Collective, you already know him. His cocktails are legendary, and his mocktails are a work of art.

He’s also a longtime supporter of Black Coffee Apparel, and over the years that support has naturally grown into a friendship. Check out the video below to learn more about his story.

We're hoping this is just the beginning. Community Threads will continue to spotlight artists, makers, and community builders who inspire what we do at Black Coffee Apparel. If you care about local art, independent clothing brands, and Ottawa’s creative scene, this series is for you.

Stay tuned for future episodes — and as always, thanks for supporting local.
